Karl August von Gerlach-Parsow was the last fideicommiss holder of the Parsow, Schwemmin and Drosedow estates. He was abducted and murdered by the Red Army in 1945.

An ancient Pomeranian noble family, documented since the 13th century and rooted at the ancestral seat of Bonin in Hinterpommern. Over generations the family provided officers, landowners and administrative officials in Prussian service, including the Pomeranian provincial governor Wilhelm von Bonin (1786–1852). Ruth von Bonin's marriage to the last active fideicommiss holder of Parsow created one of the closest Pomeranian noble connections of the von Gerlach family in the early 20th century.
